BUSINESSWOMAN LE MINH TRUC – DEVOTING HER ALL TO THE COMMUNITY

(DDDN) – With talents, enthusiasm and her mettle in business, businesswoman Le Minh Truc – General Director of Hung Duy Co., Ltd. – has managed the business ever since the early days of the company’s establishment with an investment of only 300 million VND and got Hung Duy being one of the top enterprises in Tay Ninh with a revenue of nearly 2,000 billion VND/year. Not only thriving in business, Hung Duy brand is also known with meaningful and humane social activities that Mrs. Le Minh Truc has worked hard to strengthen.

Being established in 1994, up to now, Hung Duy Company has been in operation for over 20 years. Although it is not a long time to evaluate the maturity of a business, it is enough for Hung Duy to attain its position and brand in the market, despite being established with a modest sum of capital. Starting up with the business of iron and steel for construction, and manufacturing tapioca starch in such small scales with an investment of only 300 million VND. With the mettlle and determination of a “captain”, over 20 years later, the company’s sales have reached more than 1,500 billion VND and paid the annual budget for over 50 billion VND. The budget reached 56 billion VND in 2013. It is expected that within the next 2 years, the company will achieve a revenue of more than 2,000 billion VND.

However, one thing has made this businesswoman most proud of is the fact that the company has itself built very sustainable steps with 4 core areas, including: goods distribution, services & trading business, industrial crops and tapioca starch production.

Growing up in a family with a business tradition and being well-educated, right after graduating with a business administration degree, businesswoman Le Minh Truc soon started her own business of shrimp and cow farming, but suffered huge losses. Being undismayed because her favorite saying was “failure is the mother of success”, she continued to start her accountant career at her family’s company, and after a while, she was allocated the responsibility of managing Hung Duy Company.

Despite being fragile and not having enough experience, with her enthusiasm and passion for business, she constantly gained experiences from the seniors. Thanks to that, not long after, she brought Hung Duy Company from a small distributor into a leading distributor in Southeast region. At the same time, Hung Duy became the top distributor of the country, together with other partners such as: VinaKyoei, Binh Tay Steel Grid, Unilever, Castrol BP, Vinamilk, Bourbon, PV Oil, …

Particularly in the field of tapioca starch production, the company has invested in building 2 factories with a closed manufacturing process, applying advanced technology and an A – grading wastewater treatment system with the production capacity of nearly 600 tons of starch/day. On average, Hung Duy exports more than 100,000 tons of starch to China and other Asian markets each year, with the revenue reaching more than 800 billion VND/year.
